A $5,000 secured bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man accused of not being in compliance with his sex offender registration requirements.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge 35-year-old Austin Sullivan with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

Reading from an affidavit, Prosecuting Attorney Bill Snowden said on June 24th, PBPD Officers as well as Parole officers were dispatched to 4600 Dollarway Rd. in reference to a compliance check for a registered sex offender known as Austin Sullivan.

Upon making contact, officers conducted a compliance examination which determined Sullivan was not in compliance with his registration terms.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Sullivan was in procession of an unauthorized phone, as well as his failure to update his address on his state ID.

Sullivan is a Level 2 sex offender, which means to be convicted of 1st degree sexual assault. Sullivan is scheduled to return to court.
