A nearly year-long search for a Texarkana man ended Tuesday when authorities located and arrested an unregistered sex offender in a wooded area north of Lewisville.

The arrest took place on June 25, 2026, when the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department worked alongside the U.S. Marshals Service Western District of Arkansas Fugitive Task Force to take 62-year-old Terrance Blair into custody.

Officials said Blair had been wanted on multiple outstanding warrants, including failure to appear on 35 counts of possession of a firearm by certain persons. He was also wanted on three counts of criminal use of prohibited weapons involving allegations tied to a bomb, a machine gun, and a firearm modified for silent discharge. In addition, Blair was wanted on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender.
