The City of Pine Bluff announces that the Carl Redus Jr. Aquatic Center will remain temporarily closed through Monday, June 22, 2026, and is now scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Mayor Vivian Flowers has extended the closure in recognition of the funeral services for Mrs. Iredell Collins, which will be held on Monday, June 22.
Since the heartbreaking incident that occurred at the Aquatic Center, the City remains committed to conducting a thorough internal review of operations. Mayor Flowers anticipates completion of the review and will share the official report during the week of June 29, 2026.
