On June 16, 2026, just after 2:00 AM, Pine Bluff Police officers responded to 1316 W. 23rd in reference to an unresponsive male. On arrival they found 37-year-old Tyrondrick Dobbs in the yard of the residence. A witness at the scene reported that they heard Dobbs arguing with another male outside of the house. They heard the sound of a scuffle and a muffled pop. They then came out to find Dobbs unresponsive. The other male had left the scene. EASi ambulance service transported Dobbs to Jefferson Regional Medical Center where it was determined that Dobbs had suffered a gunshot. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
This homicide is in the early stages of investigation and the circumstances leading up to this deadly shooting are still under investigation.
