Pine Bluff Man Arrested After Fleeing Traffic Stop and Facing Drug Charges

A $2,500 secured bond was set for a Pine Bluff man accused of fleeing from a traffic stop and having drugs in his bag.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge 24-year-old Terriek Vornes with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Reading from an affidavit by Pine Bluff Police Department Lieutenant Brett Tally, Prosecuting Attorney S Kyle Hunter said on May 18th, Officer Tally was called out to a traffic stop for a white Dodge Charger that had a license plate belonging to a black Chrysler 300.

The Charger resisted, continuing onto Blake St. Before turning off and stopping at someone’s residence, where he was apprehended.

A search was conducted, and 2 grams of psylocibin mushrooms were found in his bag, a digital scale, and along with 3 grams of marijuana.

He is scheduled to return to court on July 8th.
