A $10,000 secured bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of threatening to kill two people.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge 58-year-old Charles Battles with 2 counts of Terroristic Threatening.
Reading from an Affidavit from Detective Jesse Horton, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said on May 11th, police were dispatched to West 28th Ave in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, police made contact with two victims.
The Victims stated that Battles threatened to kill them, and as a result they refused to reenter the house and just left.
When they returned, the house was observed inside to be damage. Police found the victims statements to be consistent with each other, and Battles was not interviewed due to intoxication.
He has prior convictions and was ordered to have no contact with the victims. He is scheduled to return to court.
