A $5,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of ramming a car belonging to her boyfriend following an altercation Monday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Karen Pryor, 39, with aggravated assault on a family or household member and criminal mischief.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexande said on Monday at 10:44 a.m., a police officer was on Pullen Street near Gum Street when he saw a white Charger stop in the middle of the road and a female later identified as Pryor get out and flag him down.

Alexander said the victim told police he was at his residence standing beside his Mustang when Pryor drove into his yard, running over his mailbox and ear-ending his Mustang. He said he had to jump out of the way to keep from being hit. He said Pryor attempted to leave but her car stalled in the middle of the roadway.

Pryor was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court June 8.
