A juvenile has been arrested after a reported gun threat led to a lockdown at Warren schools earlier this month, according to the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office and Warren Police Department were notified by the Warren School District on April 10 regarding a phone call reporting a firearm on campus. As a precaution, the district initiated a lockdown while law enforcement conducted a thorough search.

Officials said no firearms were found on campus.

Following an investigation, deputies on April 15 arrested a juvenile from the McGehee School District in connection with the incident. The juvenile has been charged with communicating a false alarm.

The juvenile is being held at the Jack Jones Juvenile Detention Facility in Pine Bluff and is scheduled to make a first court appearance April 17 before 10th Judicial District Juvenile Judge Theresa French.

Sheriff Herschel Tillman said both law enforcement and school officials take such threats seriously.

“The safety of all students and staff are our top priority,” Tillman said.
