Redfield Man Arrested After Truck Reported Stolen Found On Property

A $15,000 bond was set Monday for a Redfield man previously convicted of multiple felonies who was arrested after a truck that had been reported stolen was found on his property.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Boddy Joe Gill, 44, with theft by receiving, theft of property a credit card and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said Gill has active warrants from the Department of Corrections, Little Rock Police Department, Searcy Police Department and the Mayflower Police Department.

Gill was arrested after Sheriff’s Deputy Bradley Shell was sent to an address on Highway 104 after a report that a Chevrolet Silverado that had been reported stolen April 9 in Pulaski County was there.

Shell reported that after he detained Gill and another person who was released pending further investigation.

A .22-caliber handgun with five rounds in it was found, the report said.

Gill was told to come back to court May 29.
