A Drew County man is facing multiple felony charges following a search warrant executed earlier this month, according to authorities.
Investigators with the Drew County Sheriff’s Office and the 10th Judicial Drug Task Force served a search warrant March 19 at the residence of Michael Dustin Burns.
During the search, authorities reported locating narcotics and drug paraphernalia inside the home.
Officials said Burns was already wanted on a warrant for third-degree domestic battery at the time of the search. He later turned himself in to the Drew County Sheriff’s Office on March 20.
Burns was initially booked on charges of third-degree domestic battery, possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond for those charges was set at $20,000.
However, investigators said additional evidence uncovered during the investigation led to a series of more serious charges.
Authorities said Burns is now also facing charges including breaking or entering, theft of property valued at more than $1,000, introduction of a controlled substance into the body of another person, and multiple charges related to the possession and distribution of materials depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.
Bond on the additional charges was set at $150,000.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges could be filed.
