Jefferson County Law Enforcement Hosts Prescription Drug Take Back Day April 25

The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is set for April 25. The Drug Take Back Day is a program launched by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, also known as the D-E-A.

Law enforcement agencies nationwide and all across Arkansas will participate in the program, including the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Lafayette Woods Jr. explains.

Sheriff Woods said any and all unused prescription drugs may be dropped off for disposal; however, he said hypodermic needles or syringes will not be accepted.

Other local participating agencies will be the White Hall, Redfield and Pine Bluff Police Departments.
