Sen. Kim Hammer won the Republican primary runoff for Secretary of State on Tuesday, defeating Bryan Norris, and will face Democratic nominee Kelly Grappe in the November general election.
Hammer told Deltaplex News following his victory that he is already campaigning ahead of the general election.
The race between Hammer and Norris grew increasingly contentious in its final stages with sharp exchanges. Hammer said he believes his victory was due in part to voters recognizing that he ran a clean campaign.
Hammer said he will work to ensure election integrity in Arkansas, adding that he believes it is an issue that is important to Arkansans.
He added that he wants to make things easier on business owners in Arkansas.
Hammer concluded his interview with a message to the voters.
