Jacob Palmer
In Grant County, Jacob Palmer was elected circuit/county clerk after defeating Stefannie Pruitt by a vote of 806 to 667 in Tuesday’s runoff election.
Palmer told Deltaplex News following the release of final results that improving and streamlining the election process was one of his primary reasons for seeking the office.
He said that he knew from the beginning that this was going to be a tough race.
Palmer is not expected to face a Democratic or independent opponent in the November general election and discussed his goals for the next nine months as he prepares to take office.
