A $50,000 cash only bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly bit his wife during an altercation between the two Friday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Clayborne Cosen, 67, with second offense, third-degree domestic battery, a felony.

Prosecuting Attorney S. Kyle Hunter said Cosen has had multiple prior misdemeanor and felony domestic battery convictions and is currently on probation. He said prosecutors will be filing a petition to revoke that probation.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Tiffany Woods, Hunter said police were sent to a domestic disturbance Friday.

Bridgforth told Cosen that he would be held without bond because his probation was being revoked. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court May 13.
