During his current term in office, one issue has dogged Jefferson County Gerald Robinson. That issue was employee paychecks being delayed for several weeks.

Appearing on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show, host Greg Horne told Robinson that he (Robinson) had gotten a lot of the blame that he did not think he should have gotten and asked Robinson to explain his position.

“The fact of the matter is they were not do the money,” Robinson said.

Robinson said he had sought legal advice to make sure what he was doing was right but the county clerk just would not follow the court order.

Horne told Robinson that a lot of this had to do with former JP Lloyd Franklin Jr., and asked Robinson if Franklin had outplayed him and that was why Robinson was in a runoff instead of winning the nomination outright.
