A Sheridan man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple child exploitation charges in Grant County Circuit Court.

Brandon Lee Gammill, 31, was sentenced March 10 by Circuit Judge Stephen L. Shirron to 25 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections after entering a negotiated guilty plea to five felony counts of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.

Each charge is classified as a Class C felony under Arkansas law. Under the terms of the plea agreement, Gammill received five years in prison on each of the five counts, with the sentences ordered to run consecutively, resulting in the total 25-year sentence.

Court records show the charges stemmed from an investigation that began in 2024 after a report was made to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding an internet account associated with a Sheridan-area IP address.

Investigators determined the report involved files shared through the messaging platform Discord. The investigation was assigned to the Arkansas State Police Cyber Crimes Unit, which identified several image files believed to depict prepubescent children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Authorities later obtained a search warrant for the Discord account tied to the reported activity. Data returned from the company included approximately 1.4 gigabytes of files, which investigators said contained numerous images and videos of child sexual abuse material.

Investigators also reported locating images and videos involving Gammill during the examination of the data.

According to charging documents, the alleged offenses occurred between July 2024 and January 2025 in Grant County.

As part of the plea agreement accepted by the court, Gammill will serve his sentence in the Arkansas Department of Corrections and was ordered to pay $1,500 in fines along with additional court costs and fees.

Court records indicate Gammill was not sentenced as a habitual offender.

The sentencing order states Gammill will serve a total of 300 months for the offenses and was remanded to the custody of the Arkansas Department of Corrections following the court’s ruling.

The case was prosecuted in the Seventh Judicial District, which includes Grant County.
