A $50,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man who was located several days after escaping from the Jefferson County jail following an altercation with a former girlfriend.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Darius Shepherd, 27, with aggravated residential burglary, second offense third-degree domestic battery and interfering with an emergency communication.
Chief Deputy Prosecutor Jill Reed said on Feb. 28, police were sent to Southeast Apartments on East 36th Avenue.
Reed said Shepherd has a charge of aggravated assault on a family or household member pending from January involving the same victim.
He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court April 17.
