Pine Bluff Man Accused of Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend Held on 10K Bond

A $10,000 cash only bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man currently on probation who allegedly punched and choked his former girlfriend during an altercation.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosectors have probable cause to charge Deandre Brothers, 25, with aggravated assault on a family or household member and terroristic threatening.

Reading from an affidavit from Detective Jesse Horton, Prosecuting Attorney S. Kyle Hunter said at 5:46 p.m. Wednesday, police were sent to South Main Street where the victim said her ex-boyfriend had choked and punched her while they were in his vehicle.

Hunter said police located Brothers, adding

Hunter said prosecutors will file a petition to revoke Brothers’ probation. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court April 14.
