A $100,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly broke into a house and pointed a gun at one of the occupants.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Cawaske Jenkins Jr., 31, with aggravated residential burglary, aggravated assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said on Monday at 8:20 p.m., police were sent to 1006 W. 22nd Avenue in response to a reported home invasion.

The victim said when she came out Jenkins did not have a gun.

Alexander said Jenkins has five prior felony convictions including two for residential burglary and had a history of firearm possession.

Jenkins was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court April 1.
