On Thursday, Peter Austin, COO of Jefferson Regional Hospital was a guest on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show where he talked about efforts to recruit medical personnel, particularly doctors.
Today, Austin discusses another group, nurses after Morning Show host Greg Horne mentioned that he has heard that there are nursing shortages in other parts of the country.
Austin also mentioned that Jefferson Regional had received a federal grant and what the hospital had been able to do with the money.
Horne then said, “from what I’ve been told, nurses can go anywhere and get a job in 10 minutes.”
