A $25,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of firing shots at another man Tuesday afternoon.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosectors have probable cause to charge Jonathan Pittman, 20, with two counts of aggravated assault.

Reading from an affidavit from Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexande said on Tuesday at about 7:43 p.m., police Lt. Brett Talle was at 28th Avenue and Fir Street when he heard a call for shots fired. A car pulled up to Talley and asked if he was going to the shots fired call, then followed Talley to the Regency Arms Apartments.

Alexander said police were able to get video footage from a doorbell camera that showed Pittman running and firing a weapon.

When Pittman was questioned, he said the victim fired shots at him first and he returned fire, but Alexander said there was nothing to substantiate that claim.

Pittman was told to come back to court March 27.
