At its monthly meeting Monday night, the Watson Chapel School Board voted to approve Superintendent Dr. Keith McGehee’s proposal to create a park at the site of the new high school.
McGehee said it will be called Alumni Park and he explained what the board approved when he appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show.
McGehee went on to explain more about the park, and discuss its costs.
He also discussed looking for a sponsor for the park.
McGehee said he could see classes coming back to the park, and getting together to pay for a stone with their class names on it in the park. He also mentioned a new tradition he wants to establish.
