A $20,000 bond was set Monday for an Altheimer man on drug and weapons charges.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Markel Woolfolk, 20, with possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Reading from an affidavit from Arkansas State Trooper Jacob Garcia, a Deput Prosecutor said Garcia was on Interstate 530 Saturday at 6:39 p.m. traveling north when he saw a maroon Hyundai and a check of the license plate number showed the vehicle and unconfirmed insurance.
Woolfolk, who has a prior felony conviction, was told to come back to court March 25.
