Mail delivery across parts of Arkansas has been temporarily suspended due to hazardous conditions caused by the recent winter storm.

An official with the United States Postal Service said local postal leaders are closely monitoring weather and road conditions and will continue to make decisions regarding mail processing, delivery, transportation and retail operations with safety as the top priority.

“The Postal Service is proud of the important role it plays in the communities it serves; however, the safety of our employees and customers remains one of our highest priorities,” a USPS official said. “Currently, postal operations in Little Rock have been affected by the winter weather that moved into the area. Due to safety concerns, mail delivery was temporarily suspended to some residential and business customers, and may still be suspended in some areas.”
