Winter weather took its toll on the Deltaplex over the weekend, prompting residents to keep a close watch on local utilities.
One utility that weathered the storm without major issues was Pine Bluff Wastewater Utilities.
General Manager Ken Johnson spoke with Deltaplex News on Tuesday to discuss how the system performed during the winter weather event.
Pine Bluff Wastewater Utilities has been working on several projects in recent months, and Johnson shared updates on those efforts.
In recent years, Johnson and his team have focused on educating the public about the damaging effects of flushing so-called “flushable” wipes. Johnson said he believes those messages are resonating with residents.
