Saracen Casino Resort has unveiled the first four concerts scheduled for its new Saracen Event Center, launching what officials say will be a major new chapter for live entertainment in southeast Arkansas.
The inaugural lineup features a mix of comedy, R&B, classic rock and country, beginning with comedian Leslie Jones on Saturday, April 18. Legendary funk and R&B group Kool & The Gang will follow on Saturday, May 9, bringing their decades-long catalog of hits to Pine Bluff.
Rock fans will get their turn Saturday, May 16, when Great White and Slaughter take the stage together, while country star Jake Owen is set to headline on Thursday, June 4.
Tickets for all four shows will go on sale Friday, Jan. 30, at 10 a.m. Central Time through Ticketmaster.
Saracen officials said the diverse opening slate is designed to showcase the versatility of the new venue and signal the resort’s commitment to bringing nationally recognized acts to the region.
“This is just the beginning,” the casino said in a statement announcing the shows. “We can’t wait to welcome guests to the next era of live entertainment at Saracen.”
The Saracen Event Center is part of the resort’s ongoing expansion and is expected to host concerts, comedy shows and special events throughout the year.
Additional acts are anticipated to be announced in the coming months.
