The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating a New Year’s Day shooting that left an 18-year-old woman injured early Thursday morning.
According to police, officers were notified of the incident at approximately 1:21 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2026, at an events center located at 2402 E. Harding Ave. The victim told investigators she was attending a family gathering to celebrate the New Year when she heard several gunshots and then felt a stinging sensation in her hand.
A relative transported the woman to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, where she was treated for a gunshot wound to the hand. Her condition has not been released.
Police say the suspect or suspects involved have not yet been identified, and the investigation remains ongoing.
