Pine Bluff Man Charged with Murder in Disappearance of Joynell Brandon

Prosecutors have filed felony charges against a Pine Bluff man in connection with the disappearance of Joynell Brandon, authorities said.

The Pine Bluff Police Department confirmed that the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office has charged Tony Thompson Jr., 31, with first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse. Thompson’s bond has been set at $1 million.

Police said Brandon’s body has not been located, and the investigation remains active and ongoing. Detectives continue to work closely with Brandon’s family as the case progresses.
