A $50,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man accused of threatening his girlfriend with a knife.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Cornelious Westmoreland, 52, with aggravated assault on a family or household member and terroristic threatening.
Reading from an affidavit from Detective Shaun Watson, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said on Saturday, police were sent to a reported disturbance on McCool Circle.
West said Westmoreland has multiple prior felony convictions dating back to the 1980’s. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Jan. 16.
