During the latest Shooting Review held Thursday, the Pine Bluff Police Department and Group Violence Intervention reported a significant drop in shots-fired calls between Nov. 1 and Nov. 16, 2025. Officials recorded 11 calls during that period, down from the 28 calls reported in the previous review, which covered the last two weeks of October.

According to data shared during the meeting, Zone 1 — the south-central portion of the city — reported the most activity with five calls. Zone 2 (west-southwest) recorded three calls, while Zone 3 (northwest), Zone 4 (north central), and Zone 6 (northeast) each reported one call. Zone 5 (east-southeast) reported no shots-fired incidents.

The bi-monthly Shooting Reviews provide the department an opportunity to closely examine recent gun-related incidents within city limits and coordinate with partner agencies, including the Arkansas State Police and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. These meetings allow law enforcement to share intelligence, identify potential contributing factors, and discuss emerging trends.
