A $10,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man on drug and weapons related allegations.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Ashton Tripp, 25, with possession of a controlled substance and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.
Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said Tripp was arrested after a White Hall Police Officer patrolling Highway 256 and Dollarway Road at 5:30 a.m. Saturday saw a tan Chevrolet Tahoe traveling 50 miles per hour in a 40-mile-per-hour zone.
Tripp said the gun that was found belonged to a family member. He was told to come back to court on Dec. 19.
