Pine Bluff Man Faces $10,000 Cash Only Bond After Alleged Domestic Assault

A $10,000 cash only bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man currently on probation and with charges pending who is accused of aggravated assault, terroristic threatening and domestic battery.

Justin Flowers, 31, was arrested Oct. 17, five days after he allegedly hit and choked a cousin during an altercation on West 26th Avenue.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Flowers with aggravated assault on a family or household member, aggravated residential burglary, third-degree domestic battery and terroristic threatening.

Reading from an affidavit from Detective Ryan Edwards, Prosecuting Attorney S. Kyle Hunter explained the allegations.

Hunter said police reported seeing visible injuries and she was taken to Jefferson Regional Hospital where she was treated. During an interview, she gave a statement repeating the initial allegations.

After Flowers was arrested, he agreed to give a statement to police.

Flowers is currently on probation for domestic battery and had pending felony charges of theft by receiving. He was told to come back to court Nov. 21.
