Pine Bluff Police Investigating Shooting at Broadmoor Arms Apartments

A Pine Bluff man was shot in the leg during a gunfire exchange late Thursday night at the Broadmoor Arms Apartments, located at 801 S. Wisconsin St., according to the Pine Bluff Police Department.

Officers were called to the scene around 9:43 p.m. on Oct. 9, 2025, and upon arrival, found a bullet hole in the window of an apartment, along with spent shell casings in a nearby landing area. Additional bullet holes were discovered in a wall leading to an inside stairwell.

Investigators noted that several of the bullet holes appeared to have been fired from inside the apartment.

The apartment owner, along with three men inside at the time, told officers that someone began shooting from outside the building, then kicked in the front door. One of the men stated that he returned fire with an AR-15 rifle from inside the apartment.

The apartment owner gave officers permission to search the unit, where several more bullet holes were found in the ceiling and stairwell wall. One of the men was found to have been shot in the leg.

Police also made contact with the resident in the neighboring apartment, where they found another bullet hole in the living room wall and one in the television set.

The injured man was transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, but fled the hospital shortly after arrival and has not yet been located, authorities said.

The investigation is ongoing.
