Pedestrian Killed in Early Morning Crash on Highway 167 in Grant County

A Monroe, Louisiana man was killed early Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle while walking along Highway 167 in Grant County.

According to the Arkansas State Police, the crash occurred around 4:15 a.m. on September 28, 2025. Authorities said 46-year-old Travis L. Johnson was walking in the center of two lanes when he was struck by a 1999 Mercury traveling north on Highway 167 South.

Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to the Grant County Coroner’s Office.

No other injuries were reported in the crash. Weather conditions were listed as clear, and road conditions were dry at the time of the incident.

The incident remains under investigation by the Arkansas State Police.
