Crime Lab Rules Fordyce Deaths as Murder-Suicide

The Arkansas State Crime Laboratory has determined that the deaths of two Fordyce residents earlier this month were the result of a murder-suicide.

On September 15, 2025, the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division launched an investigation at the request of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office after a couple was discovered dead inside their home.

Deputies with the sheriff’s office and officers with the Fordyce Police Department responded around 11 a.m. to a residence in the 1700 block of West 4th Street, where they found 81-year-old David Parham and 70-year-old Holly Parham unresponsive. The Dallas County Coroner pronounced both individuals deceased at the scene.

Autopsies conducted by the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory confirmed that Holly Parham died as the result of homicide, while David Parham’s death was ruled a suicide.

The investigation into the case has since been closed.
