A $50,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of fleeing from White Hall Police and jumping out of her moving vehicle which went on to hit the guard post at the Pine Bluff Arsenal.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Janell Knowles, 19, with felony fleeing and criminal mischief.

Reading from an affidavit from White Hall Police, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said on Saturday, White Hall Police were patrolling Interstate 530 near Exit 32 when they saw a vehicle that was traveling 91 miles per hour in a 75-mile-per-hour zone.

Akel said the vehicle ran the red light at Dollarway Road and Highway 256 traveling east toward the arsenal.

Knowles said she would hire her own attorney and was told to come back to court Nov. 3.
