Pine Bluff Police Identify Suspect, Victim in South Missouri Street Homicide

Pine Bluff police have identified both the suspect and victim in a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday night, and are asking for the public’s help in locating the man accused of pulling the trigger.

On Tuesday night at about 9:05 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at 615 South Missouri Street. When they arrived, they found an unresponsive man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Teddy Spivey.

The victim has since been identified as 29-year-old Jimmie Epperson.

Police have named 25-year-old Thomaz Johnson as the suspect in the case. Johnson is described as a Black male, 5’10” tall, weighing about 160 pounds. His last known address is 2317 Belair Drive in Pine Bluff.

Detectives are actively pursuing leads but are asking for the community’s assistance. Anyone with information about Johnson’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Pine Bluff Police Department Detective Division at 870-730-2090, the tip line at 870-730-2106, or the dispatch center at 870-541-5300.
