District Superintendent Jennifer Barbaree told Deltaplex News that 3 of the 4 elementary schools had bigger increases in growth that the State average and Southwood Elementary was only 3 points from a C.

Barbaree said there is still a lot of work to do and will be a guest on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show Tuesday.

In the Watson Chapel District, the High School and Edgewood Elementary graded F. Coleman Elementary and Watson Chapel Junior High appealed.

Watson Chapel Superintendent Dr. Keith McGee said there is still a lot of work to be done in his district but pointed to some positives.

In his monthly appearances on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show, McGee has talked about elevating kids and was asked if he had seen progress in that in standardized tests.

In the White Hall School District, Hardin Elementary was graded B, Gandy Elementary was graded C and the remaining elementaries, Moody and Taylor, White Hall Junior High and White Hall High School appealed.
