Pine Bluff police are investigating a Sept. 17 shooting that left one man injured.
According to the PBPD Detective’s Office, at approximately 9:40 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1600 block of South Oak Street.
Upon arrival, they discovered a 32-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the front yard of a residence.
Emergency medical personnel from EASI arrived shortly thereafter and transported the man to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for further treatment. He sustained injuries to his right shin and left shoulder.
His current condition is not being released at this time.
The victim’s stepfather reported that he and his wife were inside their residence when the gunfire erupted.
The man stated that he observed a white passenger car with black rims fleeing the scene, turning west onto Harding Avenue. The residence was also struck by gunfire; officers observed at least one bullet hole near the front door.
The suspect involved in this shooting has not been identified at this time.
Detectives Jason Boykin and Shawn Watson responded to the scene and are actively pursuing leads.
