North Little Rock police officer Tommy Norman has been released from the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility after his arrest over the weekend in connection with a domestic violence incident.

According to the North Little Rock Police Department (NLRPD), officers arrested Norman on September 13 and charged him with one count of third-degree domestic battery. He was booked into the Pulaski County jail following the incident.

On Monday morning, a judge set Norman’s bond at $350, which he posted shortly afterward. NLRPD officials confirmed that Norman has been placed on administrative leave while both the judicial process and an internal investigation move forward.

In response to the incident, Norman’s wife, Rosalynd Norman, issued a statement asking for prayers, privacy, and understanding for the family:

“Like many families, we have experienced both loving memories and difficult times, but that does not diminish the love we share,” she said. “We are leaning on God for strength and guidance, and we kindly ask for grace, prayers, and privacy as we move forward. We are truly grateful for the love and support of our family, friends, and the community. Please continue to keep us all lifted in prayer.”

She added that the family has faced “many challenges, including rumors and outside pressures,” but stressed their care and respect for each other and for the work Officer Norman has done in the community.

Norman is scheduled to appear in North Little Rock District Court on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 9 a.m.
