Jefferson Regional Hospital Hosts Breast Cancer Awareness Events in October

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Jefferson Regional Hospital has several events planned during the month.

Laura Beth Shaner, the hospital’s Foundation Director and Brandy Baugh who is the director of the Wellness Center appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show where Shaner talked about one of those events.

Morning Show host Greg Horne described the luncheon as a “celebration of survival.” Tickets cost $60 and can be obtained by calling Shaner at 870-541-7210.

Horne then turned to Baugh to talk about an upcoming race.

Interested participants can register at the Wellness Center. The cost is $40 for adults and $20 for children and Baugh said the course is around the hospital.

All the money raised will go to help patients. Also, new this year will be Pickleball Tournament Oct. 5 at the Wellness Center in White Hall.

Shaner and Baugh also talked about the two hospital breast centers and how easy it is for women to get checked for beast cancer.
