Mainline Health Systems, Inc. (MHSI) has been awarded a $465 grant from Entergy Arkansas to help expand pediatric care services in Southeast Arkansas.
The funding will allow MHSI to purchase pediatric pulse oximeters designed specifically for children. These devices provide quick, non-invasive, and precise measurements of oxygen levels and heart rate, helping medical providers assess a child’s respiratory health more efficiently.
Allan Nichols, Chief Executive Officer of MHSI, expressed gratitude for the support.
“We are incredibly grateful for Entergy Arkansas’s continued support of our community health initiatives,” Nichols said. “This grant will have a direct impact on the quality of care we provide to our youngest patients, equipping our providers in Sheridan with the specialized tools needed for their unique health needs.”
Brandi Hinkle, public affairs representative for Entergy Arkansas, highlighted the company’s commitment to the communities it serves.
“We are thrilled to announce our latest charitable grant to Mainline Health Systems, Inc.,” Hinkle said. “This collaboration exemplifies our dedication to building bright futures for all our customers and empowering our communities to thrive.”
The grant aligns with the Entergy Charitable Foundation’s focus on sustaining families through poverty solutions, education and workforce opportunities, and environmental stewardship. Funding for charitable grants comes from shareholder profits, not customer rates, and is part of Entergy’s broader corporate social responsibility program, which also includes employee volunteerism and community engagement initiatives.
