The Conway Police Department has announced the arrest of Kemarie Tyrone Johnson in connection with the April 13, 2025, shooting at Fifth Avenue Park.
According to police, Johnson was apprehended on Aug. 21 in Pine Bluff by the U.S. Marshals Eastern District of Arkansas Fugitive Task Force and the Arkansas State Police SWAT Team.
Johnson faces charges on an active Conway warrant, including two counts of capital murder, nine counts of attempted murder, and one count of terrorism.
In a statement, Conway police expressed appreciation to the agencies that assisted in the arrest, noting the operation reflected the combined efforts of local, state, and federal authorities.
“Our detectives have remained focused on justice for the victims and families affected by this tragic act of violence,” the department said. “This arrest demonstrates the relentless work and coordination of our partners.”
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
