Due to elevated wildfire risks from current weather conditions, Jefferson County officials have issued a countywide burn ban effective immediately.

The Jefferson County Office of Emergency Management announced Friday that the wildfire danger level has risen to a high level, prompting the ban. The order applies to all areas of Jefferson County, including the cities of Pine Bluff, White Hall, Humphrey, Sherrill, Altheimer, Wabbaseka, and Redfield.

The burn ban prohibits all outdoor burning and will remain in place until further notice. County Judge Gerald Robinson signed the order on August 15, 2025.
