Downtown Pine Bluff is about to welcome a major new attraction. On August 20, 2025, the site formerly known as 601 Main will officially reopen as Simmons Bank Park, an $8.5 million development made possible through a partnership between Simmons Bank, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, and Go Forward Pine Bluff.

The project aims to be a vibrant hub for dining, shopping, and culture in the city’s core.

The centerpiece of the new space is The Magnolia Food Market & Bar, featuring four fully equipped kitchens and two bars designed to host a variety of culinary experiences. Also opening is The Bank: Pine Bluff Mercantile, a retail space highlighting local makers and entrepreneurs.

Visitors will also be greeted by striking murals from local artist Greg Newson, adding a distinctive cultural touch to the venue.

The launch will coincide with a five-day celebration featuring food, music, and entertainment:

  • Aug. 21 – Shop, Dine & Happy Hour, 7 p.m.

  • Aug. 22 – Reggae Night, 7 p.m.

  • Aug. 23 – Live Blues, Batter & Brew, 7 p.m.

  • Aug. 24 – Soulful Sunday at The Magnolia, 7 p.m.

Organizers encourage the community to “come hungry, ready to shop, and be part of Pine Bluff’s next chapter.”
