A $50,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man accused of entering another mans apartment in June and robbing him of cash while waiving a knife.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Tyler Shinn, 31, with aggravated residential burglary, aggravated robbery and theft of property.
Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said on June 24, police were sent to an apartment on West 13th in response to a reported robbery.
Akel said a BOLO was put out for Shinn and he reached out to Detective Boykin on social media asking questions about the incident. He also denied robbing or assaulting anyone. She said Shinn has five prior felony convictions.
Shinn was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Sept. 15.
