Of the 16 newly hired police officers who will be headed to the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy on Aug. 25, eight are male and eight are female, and range in age from 21 to 38.
Between April and July, a total of 22 officers were hired, two of them will be full-time and are currently certified by the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training, and four others who will work part-time and are also certified.
The Department’s Office of Professional Standards provided Deltaplex News a list of all the officers that have been hired.
