On Monday night, the Pine Bluff Police Department introduced 18 brand new police officers that had been hired and were in various stages of training.
That is the largest number of officers ever hired at one time by the department and Public Information Specialist John Worthen was asked if the department had stepped up recruiting or were there other factors that were also involved in getting that many people at once.
Worthen appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show where host Greg Horne mentioned that Shirley Warrior is serving as Interim Chief and we don’t know if she will have the job permanently or if the mayor will name someone else. Horne went on to say that Warrior has “been aggressive on a whole lot of different fronts.”
Horne then said that from all accounts, the cleanup Saturday had been successful.
