Jefferson County Judge Signs Bonus Payroll Affidavit, Resolves Funding Dispute

Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson has officially signed the bonus payroll affidavit for county employees, bringing closure to a recent funding issue surrounding the disbursement of employee bonuses.

The signing followed Judge Robinson’s order to transfer money from the county’s general fund into the emergency fund, allowing those funds to be properly used for the bonuses.

County employees were informed that they could begin picking up their bonus checks at the courthouse starting Tuesday afternoon.

Speaking with Deltaplex News by phone, Judge Robinson expressed relief over the resolution, stating, “I’m glad to be able to get the bonus money paid to county employees since it has now been done the right way, using money from the general fund.”
