A North Little Rock man was killed and two minors were injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday evening in rural Jefferson County, according to a preliminary report from Arkansas State Police.
The crash happened at approximately 6:28 p.m. on July 27 along southbound Interstate 530 at the 20-mile marker.
Broderick Norman, 42, of North Little Rock, was identified as the driver of a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer. Authorities say Norman died at UAMS Hospital after the vehicle overturned several times. Two minors who were passengers in the vehicle sustained injuries. Their identities, ages, and conditions have not been released at this time.
According to the crash report, Norman attempted to avoid an object in the roadway, which caused him to lose control of the vehicle. The Jeep left the roadway and rolled multiple times, resulting in the fatal incident.
The crash occurred in a rural stretch of Jefferson County and is being investigated by state troopers with the Arkansas State Police Troop E.
This incident marks the 284th fatality on Arkansas roads in 2025, according to state police records.
